I just split my chin open, again as it hit my table as I watched this. 'Heaven' was used in the acclaimed skate film Fully Flared directed by Spike Jonze and Ty Evans. The collaboration inspired the directors to take footage and re-edit a sequence of shots that shows the Lakai skateboarding team demonstrating their considerable skills as they navigate through and around various exploding obstacles. With 'Heaven' as the musical backdrop, the resulting marriage of sound to picture is quite extraordinary.

So here is the thing, well the ring actually from hairlooms jewellery. These one-of-a-kind pieces are created using precious metals in combination with the woven hair of your horse.

You can't help but wonder if you don't have a horse, should you go and get one? I don't know where I would keep my Mr. Ed, perhaps I'll pay a visit to the stable and pluck out a few strands of hair for my piece I'm dreaming about. although maybe I should leave that up to the artist herself (Silversmith Kimberley Williams). now to choose sterling silver or gold?

Late this afternoon I met with Illustrator and Designer MIA for coffee at The gallery on booth street. I left inspired once again to complete the ever growing character series of mine that I couldn't resist showing you one of these delicate artworks. It is ironic however that Let them eat cake is one of my favourite pieces, and as we were at a cafe' that has amazing desserts we forgot to order one. How did that happen? maybe tomorrow? For now though I will be enjoying this delicious pixel cake at the snail and the teacup.
